Trade Compliance Lead

A part of Gentex's legal department, the Trade Compliance Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing trade compliance, including export compliance, import compliance, and anti-corruption compliance for Gentex's US enterprise. This position also provides support and guidance to Gentex Europe's trade compliance staff on U.S. trade compliance matters.

Responsibilities/Unique Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree, and five (5) years of experience in trade compliance. Less experience with a Juris Doctor (or equivalent) will be considered.
  • Experience working with: (1) U.S. export laws and regulations (i.e. ITAR, EAR, FTR, and OFAC); (2) U.S. import requirements (i.e. HTS codes, Customs); (3) Free Trade Agreement requirements; and (4) anti-corruption compliance, including the FCPA. Experience with UK trade compliance and UK Anti-Bribery laws is a plus.
